WELCOME
TO OUR CORNER OF NEW ZEALAND
Welcome
to the Marlborough Fuchsia Society's web page. If you live in our area
we would be delighted to see you at our meetings. These are usually held
on the last Sunday of each month in the Red Cross Rooms, 33 Redwood
Street, Blenheim. The meetings commence at 1:30 p.m. The cultivation
of fuchsias is discussed and competitions are held. The society is able
to supply members with hanging baskets, pots, fertilizers, spray and potting
mix at very reasonable prices. A wealth of expert advice is readily available
from our experienced members. Books may be borrowed from our exrensive
library.
A Fuchsia Festival is held towards the end of January
each year. Most of the photos shown here were taken at recent Festivals.

WINTER
ACTIVITIES
Officially
the club is in recess during winter but activities and outings are arranged
for members.
One
of our current undertakings is to set up a data base of the fuchsias
grown by our branch. To date we have listed some 500 plants and as well
we are establishing a photographic data base of the fuchsias grown in
Marlborough. To date we have photos of half the 500 fuchsias we grow.A
few of these are displayed on this page.
